I got a lotta gotta I gotta do this I gotta do that or else None of the gotta lotta Will get done.
Just a short and silly little poe-umm that I made up the other day while working in the garden. (My garden has inspired many creative things.) Today is the only dry day of the week that I’ll get to enjoy outside, and I have a lot to do (a lotta gotta-gotta lotta.) Also, this week I’m on the low fiber diet prep for a colonoscopy on Friday (oh joy!) I tend to eat tiny meals throughout the day anyway, so I don’t expect complications from the ordeal; it’s just the invasiveness of the test that I dislike, I’ve been difficult to pin down for it, and I already changed the appointment once, so this time I gotta do it...part of the lotta gotta-gotta lotta shit to do...(yes, of course, the pun is intended.)
Anyway…it’s another gloomy day on my acre of the world, it’s drying out, I guess. Everything is so damp. I had to rescue what was left of my sunflower sprouts from the slugs and bugs, and have them potted and safely tucked away on my enclosed back porch, where they will get the necessary TLC and daylight to recover from the assault. I don’t know how many will survive to continue growing; many had their top leaves chewed off, but they might come back. I am hopeful. There were still some seeds that hadn’t finished sprouting from the second planting, so I’m hoping they will continue to grow. Whatever does survive, I will replant them once they are of a size that will not be devastated by a munching pest. It’s been heartbreaking to see them sprouting and then being destroyed by the next morning in spite of my best efforts to protect them.
I don’t think I’ll have any beans surviving either. There were flea beetles all over that area, so I sprayed, and I’ll wait to see if anything emerges in the next day or two. Since I haven’t seen anything peep out of the soil yet, I wonder if they have already rotted from all the rain.
It’s another day.

I hope everyone is well. Be extra good to yourselves, follow your bliss, and find joy. Remember to be kind to others, okay? You never know what someone is going through—and we’re all going through a lot these days.
