Count them...five...yes, it's a five-leaf clover! It was only the other day that I was thinking that I hadn’t seen one in a long time. I do have three pressed in a copy of Wordsworth. I guess they're considered very rare and extra lucky. (Some lucky bug got to taste it first.)
We saw the crescent Moon and Venus with Regulus in a little line up early this morning, but my Fred’s phone camera didn’t capture the little blue star.
This week has been summer-like here on my acre of the world. We might’ve broken some temperature records as we tipped into the 80s, but I really wasn’t keeping track. I can’t be fooled; summer is coming to an end; the Autumnal Equinox is on Monday. The nights are chilly, there are crunchy leaves on the ground, and there are some touches of color in the trees. I’m keeping my hopes up that we will have a nice fall this year.

Today is only going to be in the 60s and may reach into the 70s this afternoon. I’ve been working on various chores outside the house, such as picking veggies, processing them for the freezer, or making sun-dried tomatoes in the oven when we can’t eat them fast enough. Next week might be tomato sauce week. I’m already putting away things for the winter. I swept the enclosed porches and consolidated all the garden-related tools and supplies that had become scattered around over the summer. I can’t wait until my garden shed is fully functional for storing tools! It’s still a work in progress. The shutters will be installed this weekend, and the door will be built.
The world seems to be a traumatizing dumpster fire, but here on my acre of the world, we’re always hoping for the best.

I hope everyone is well. Be extra good to yourselves, follow your bliss, and find joy. Remember to be kind to others, okay? You never know what someone is going through—and we’re all going through a lot these days.
